The Personal Experience, Awakening

Recently, I have seen how we have begun to see the whole world differently. There is heightened attention to aspects of experiences that might have seemed out of sight before. We hear ourselves and others using language to express new experiences. Phrases such as “bad vibes” or “the energy in there was great” are not such odd comments to say anymore. We have been noticing and giving more credence to experiences like meeting someone and instantly liking or disliking them without knowing anything about the individual. We can feel when someone is staring at us, we have a knowing about something happening, and then it does… We are listening to our intuition more and more! We “know” things, but we don’t always know how we know them. We empathically experience what our family and friends are experiencing. We are experiencing the heavy energy of social injustice and political atmosphere, just as much as we are allowing ourselves to feel into the love and sweetness of life. What a great time of tuning in!
All of these experiences have a reality in our energy fields. Our old world of solid concrete objects is surrounded by and permeated with a fluid world of radiating energy, constantly moving, constantly changing like the sea and we are allowing ourselves to see it, feel it, experience it. We are honoring our intuition on new levels, which is the bridge to developing our senses or heightened awareness. We move through personal experiences of reality – thinking, feeling, sensing, being, only to merge again in an infinite and universal dance of transformation and expansion. The easiest and most accessible way to view and feel into the universal connection is to simply relax on your back in the bright green grass and gaze at the vast sky and towering trees. And, when you’re ready to settle into the vibration of Mother Earth close your eyes and connect with the rhythm of your breath - feeling into her support and pulse. Even if you have to use your imagination at first! Let it go, surrender, and offer yourself this moment of being beyond your physical body and material. Our children do this with ease and joy before they are molded and impressed upon. It is our mind that determines what is created and felt.
Okay, so this heightened awareness IS the healing. Not only are we sensing the vibes of our environments and of others, but we are feeling into ourselves and our own vibe. Who am I and what vibes am I projecting? Seeing ourselves in this “new” aspect requires compassion and love toward ourselves. The how and why tends to be a painful or challenging reflection on our blocks and patterns. Maybe offer a flow of forgiveness for yourself and others – “When we know better, we do better” and we must explore our pains, our feelings vs our mind, in order to heal and do better.
Our mind is set up to look out for any situation similar to the painful ones of childhood. An example of this could be when we react to a situation that brings up memories from a painful childhood experience…we are now reacting from that childhood experience rather than the situation in the present time. The split between mind and feelings remains in separation until we put it back together again. It takes healing and personal growth to do this. This is why emotional blocks just don’t go away, if anything they actually keep getting stronger. Blocks and patterns do not have the “fuel” to change until we bring in an energetic consciousness to them – a heightened awareness of ourselves. The energy consciousness in the block stays split in a lower energy state until an energetic consciousness is added into our awareness to bring the feelings and mind back together. If this doesn’t make sense, remember a painful experience from childhood. Which may not be hard for most of us to do. Remember the time something painful happened and you couldn’t do anything about it. Since you can remember it without having the feelings that you had then, it could mean that your feelings are not flowing. The feelings from the memory are still blocked. Since you are remembering it, your mental energy is still flowing. You have not blocked, or suppressed, your mental energy from the memory. Does that make sense?
We are often taught that it is inappropriate for us to have feelings when they flow naturally. We are taught from a very early age to suppress them. Then each time a feeling is evoked, it is suppressed. Over time, blocks grow in strength and become more complicated and they tend to grow in compacting layers. Growing into more complicated disturbances in the physical body! Soon enough, we increasingly become very sensitive to particular situations that evoke a flow of energy that may disturb the block enough to release the feelings within it, so we avoid those situations in our lives. In fact, we create entire lifestyles that help hold our blocks in place. A lot of the fear in adulthood stems from the dread of a powerless childhood experience. As adults, our irrational thinking and unresolved emotions come out when we can’t avoid certain ideas and emotional energies that are like the ones we had trouble with as children. Any “outer” situation that is similar to an unresolved childhood experience can evoke irrational or exaggerated behavior from us if the situation is strong enough. Most adults will do anything not to feel powerless, hence, we can see why there is resistance to going deep inside these inner places we all have.
The work in untangling our life is probably the hardest thing we may do. It takes time, effort, and dedication, but it is oh so worth it. We are able to learn things we didn’t even know were there to learn. Our life changes into the life we desire. Once we are committed, we receive all the help we need. At times, it may not seem like it, but in the long run, the journey of twists and turns becomes clear. With each step we take on the spiral healing path into the core, we grow and heal a little more into the beautiful beings of light that we all are. Most pieces of life will easily come together. We see things from the broader, more integrated perspective, like a kaleidoscope including the wholeness of all aspects of life.
With this, here is a compassionate invitation to see yourself. To hone into your beautiful expansive vibe and check yourself out. How may you be interacting with the world right now? What are the things you want most in life that you have not been able to create? How does this relate to your childhood experiences? Observe yourself in situations in which you find it hard to be nice to yourself. How may we better align our intention for healing and learn to recognize when we are experiencing an exaggerated or irrational emotion. Seeing ourselves with this intention is self-love, is self-worth, and it is an act of being compassionate. Practice being kind to yourself in life situations that bring up fear from early wounding. Creating life through the unique love for yourself is unlike any other.
My love and light to you
